Centrifugal Casting
Process classification:
Horizontal centrifugal casting: The mold rotates around a horizontal axis.
Vertical centrifugal casting: The mold rotates around a vertical axis.
technological process:
1. Mold preparation: Clean and preheat the metal mold or prepare the sand lining mold, and spray paint if necessary.
2. Mold rotation: Start the equipment to make the mold reach the predetermined speed.
3. Quantitative pouring: Pour accurately measured molten metal into a rotating mold.
4. Centrifugal solidification: The metal liquid is uniformly distributed and tightly adhered to the mold wall under the action of centrifugal force, and impurities accumulate towards the free inner surface, achieving directional solidification.
5. Cooling shutdown: After the casting solidifies, stop rotating and continue cooling.
6. Remove the casting: Open the mold and remove the casting.
7. Post processing: Remove the enriched area of the sprue, and if necessary, perform machining, heat treatment, etc.

No need for a sprue system, extremely high material utilization rate.
The process is relatively simple, easy to implement mechanization and automation, and has high production efficiency.
